May Empties

I may have accidentally forgotten to do them in April... And then I lost all the photos on my phone to do them joint with this months... Anyway, here we go!!

Lush Demon In The Dark Soap (not pictured) - it had a nice scent but I didn't like it. Don't think it did much so I used it in a hurry!!

Tresemme Rich Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner - massive let down to be honest. No where near as moisturising as I expected :(

Nivea Happy Time Lotion - I used to love this, until I developed an intolerance/allergy to the fragrance in this!! Boooo!! But I will definitely try more Nivea body lotions in the future!!

Lush Sugar Babe Sugar Scrub - I received this in a birthday gift set. I can't remember what it was called, something strawberry related!! This was my favourite thing in the gift set and I would happily buy this again and again. Though I don't use this the way I've been told by the shop assistants. I just break off chunks and rub it on my damp body, it's a bit more gentle and I lasts longer :)

Dove body wash - it was a sample and I can't remember the exact title but it definitely got me interested in more Dove body washes

The Body Shop Moringa Body Butter- I had the miniature version of this and I do like it, but I think it's over priced so would only buy it with all the special offers. This is the only scent that I like because it's quite subtle and it woks really well too without feeling heavy!!

Dove Hair Express Conditioner - I received a sample tube of this and after first use I was unimpressed so started using it as a normal conditioner rather than a weekly deep conditioner. I managed to get about 5/6 uses out of it and after the 3rd use I definitely noticed how much softer my hair felt. As a normal conditioner I would buy this but not as a deep conditioning treatment.

The Body Shop Dreams Unlimited Shower Gel and Body Lotion - I had 60ml bottles of this as part of a gift set. I liked the scent so enjoyed using the shower gel, especially because it was gentle. But the lotion wasn't really cutting it for me. I don't usually like fragranced lotions because I feel like they don't do much for the skin... Unfortunately this was no exception.

Vaseline Hand & Nail Conditioning Lotion - this bottle literally lasted forever. I kept this in my bag every day and then used it when I was at home too. It just would not finish. That's not a bad thing though. Although quite runny and not very moisturising I enjoyed using it. It absorbed really quickly into the skin so I was fine with applying it regularly, and with regular use I did notice an improvement in the condition of my hands and nails, though very small. However if you only want to apply hand cream once or twice a day, this one is definitely not for you.

Best Dessert EVER!!

So this is totally the most basic desert I've had in forever but it reminds me of my childhood because this is what would be served to all the kids on any special occasion. It was quick, easy and cheap...

Tinned fruit and ice cream!! :D aren't you all just so amazed?! LOL!!

And while we didn't have the traditional tinned fruit cocktail (with only half a cherry in it - lucky soul was the one who got it), I used tinned pineapple to recreate it.

And while we are talking about basic... Big up to vanilla ice cream!! The most boring ice cream flavour ever!!

It was amazing, took me right back to the 90s.

Who else has had this? Or do you have any other basic or childhood desserts that you absolutely love?

The Road To Clear Skin - HRI Clear Complexion Tablets

I am going through a nasty chin area break out at the moment. My usual sudocrem isn't doing the job and it's time to try something new.

I went to Boots and bought 3 tubs of the HRI Clear Complexion tablets (because its currently 3 for 2 at Boots, one tub costs £2.20). Each tub contains 50 tablets and you are supposed to take 2 or 3 a day so I think these will last me about 2 months. I will be returning with results in 2 months then.

Also, my 3 month Bio Oil experiment has been over for quite a few weeks now... So hopefully I will have that post up for you tonight.

Ooh I bought the Boots skin clear ultra rapid action spot gel (full price £5.10 but currently half price) so let's see how well that works.

Is the Boots Botanics range getting a makeover?

So, I was in Boots today... Just browsing, and I came across the Botanics section. Now I've been keeping an eye on it for a while because I wanted to buy the brightening cleanser and toner to use when I run out of my current cleanser and toner. And then I noticed there's some new packaging for some Botanic products.

Is the Boots Botanics range getting a make over? I don't know... But then I was just speaking to Louise from Lou Lou Land on twitter and was reminded about how many people love the eye make up remover.

Just in case they get rid of the eye make up remover, or changed the formula... Now might be a good time to stock up, especially because it's on 3 for 2 at the minute :)

Ooh, interesting - e.l.f Mineral Face Cleanser

Anyone seen this?

It's the e.l.f Mineral Face Cleanser, and you can buy it for £8 from HERE.

On first impressions it looks similar to the Dermalogica Microfoliant. Anyone in the USA used it before? Us in the UK, we're always a bit behind with e.l.f products :(

But looking forward to seeing more about this and maybe buying it. What are you all thinking?

Tiny update

So I haven't posted much in the last few weeks... Even though I had planned to.

I recently started working as a mobile hairdresser and have been sooooo busy. It's really exciting and I'm enjoying it but it's also majorly tiring. But I think things are about to calm down now.

I've also missed project clear out posts recently. I think I might make them fortnightly or monthly because things have really slowed down. I'm not sure if it's just lack of motivation or just not having the time to bring products that are nearly finished forward. Whatever it is, I need to sort it out!!

I've been trying a lot of different skin and body care recently (which are probably my favourite type of products, after lipsticks) so expect loads of skin and body posts I guess.

I've started making the switch to more natural products. I trialled using olive oil as a cleanser and make up remover. I did enjoy using it, but I'm wanting I finish a few more cleansers before I make that a permanent thing in my routine.

Ooh I've henna-ed my hair 3 times now, and I have really enjoyed it. If anyone is interested in seeing a post about hair henna please let me know.

Umm, ooh I don't know what else to tell you all now.

It might be a bit late for March favourites but I might try to get it out tonight anyway.

Time for my breakfast now. Keep it sweet x
